I want to know which power bank can I use to power the RPi for 25W full power. Will all power banks work ? Should it have any writing on it ?

Hi Francis,

Yes, you can use power banks with USB-PD, just like USB-PD adapters, to power the RPi 5 using the Pichondria 5V 5A converter board.

If you want to use 25W full power, I would recommend using 30W or better output rated power banks. Make sure that the 30W or higher is for the output and not for the charging speeds.

Most USB-PD power banks will work well. They usually have 9V, 12V, 15V or 20V rating apart from the normal 5V rating written on them or in their output profiles.

I have added a blog post to outline it for anyone in the future. https://pichondria.com/2024/08/06/power-rpi5-using-powerbank/
